SELECT TRIM( SUBSTR ( txt , INSTR (txt, ',', 1, level ) + 1 , INSTR (txt, ',', 1, level+1 ) - INSTR (txt, ',', 1, level) -1 ) ) AS u
FROM
  ( SELECT ','||'comma,separated,text'||',' AS txt FROM dual
  )
  CONNECT BY level <= LENGTH(txt)-LENGTH(REPLACE(txt,',',''))-1;
